We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bob Edgar, an inspirational and tireless leader in the fight to create a stronger democracy. Bob was a member of Congress, an organizational director, an advocate, but above and through all a preacher – not just for his congregation in Pennsylvania, but for all of us in the campaign finance reform community, and the country as a whole.
The battle to reform our democracy can sometimes feel like an endless fight, but Bob never tired of it. His energy and eloquence were, and will continue to be, a sustaining force for all who work to amplify the voice of the public in the halls of power.
