Anya Vanecek is U.S. PIRG's digital campaigner for the organization's public health program. Using social media and other web tools, she mobilizes our online community on issues such as stopping the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms.

Anya has been a featured guest at Twitter “tweetchats,” answering questions for thousands of followers about the U.S. PIRG toy safety report, which was released just before the start of the holiday shopping season, and about the importance of meat raised without antibiotics to protect public health.

Prior to this position, Anya worked as global warming campaign organizer in Colorado. She is based in Denver and is a graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa.

Priority Action

We're teaming up with big restaurant chains to stop the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms. Call on KFC to stop selling meat raised on routine antibiotics.
