U.S. PIRG Staff
Jaimie Woo is the federal Tax and Budget Associate for U.S. PIRG. Her priority campaigns include Closing Corporate Tax Loopholes and Ending Anonymous Shell Companies. She works to increase tax and budget transparency and accountability, close corporate tax loopholes, advocate for 21st transportation needs, and eliminate wasteful subsidies that fail to serve the public interest. Ms. Woo lobbies elected officials, writes media pieces, and mobilizes a wide variety of public interest groups through grassroots organizing to promote effective fiscal policies.
Prior to her position with U.S. PIRG, Ms. Woo interned in the Office of Management and Administration at the White House. She also spent time working on the Violence Against Women Act and Transportation and Health issues with The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
Ms. Woo is a graduate of Duke University, where she studied Cultural Anthropology and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and graduated cum laude.
