U.S. PIRG Staff
Jerry Slominski is the Federal Legislative Director of U.S. PIRG. He is responsible for developing and implementing legislative strategies for U.S. PIRGs programs and issues at the federal level.
Mr. Slominski has a long record of policy development and advocacy at both the state and federal level. He worked for Senator Jim Exon (D-NE) as Counsel and Legislative Assistant where he advised the Senator on a broad range of issues, including tax, labor, and financial policy. Mr. Slominski also served as Deputy Staff Director for the Minority on the Senate Budget Committee and was the committee’s revenues analyst. After leaving the Hill, Mr. Slominski was an advocate for the Nuclear Energy Institute on energy, security and climate issues and for the International Dairy Foods Association on agriculture and food policy issues.
Mr. Slominski is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and received a law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law. He began his legal career as a staff attorney for the Legal Services of Nebraska and later served as General Counsel of the Nebraska Department of Labor under Governor Bob Kerrey.
