Voting and civic participation are the lifeblood of our democracy. Unfortunately today too many Americans can’t or don’t register and vote. The various federal, state, and local systems for registering voters and counting votes do not make voting easy, accurate, and fair, while partisan election administrators cast doubt on the fairness of the vote-counting itself. And as a result of undemocratic voting systems, like winner-take-all elections and partisan gerrymandering, our electoral systems do not always accurately reflect public opinion even when votes are tallied correctly.
Voting should be easy, accessible, and non-discriminatory. Election equipment should be accurate, high-quality, and verifiable. Elections officials should administer campaign and election rules in a fair, non-partisan manner. And voters should have more choices on Election Day and more accurate representation afterwards.

End The Gerrymanders: When redistricting is done solely for partisan reasons, democracy is turned on its head with politicians choosing their voters rather than voters choosing their representatives. District lines should be drawn by independent commissions that operate in the open with public input.
Renew The Voting Rights Act - Victory!: To anyone who has taken a high school civics class, the right to vote would seem to be a settled question, but racial and ethnic barriers exist to this day.
