WHAT: On Tuesday, December 1, D.C. Councilmembers and community organizations will join together to announce the introduction of new fair elections legislation empowering small donors and reducing the influence of special interests in D.C. government.

WHO: Author of the new bill, D.C. Councilmember David Grosso, will be joined by supportive councilmembers at Tuesday’s press conference. Members of the D.C. Fair Elections Coalition, a group of 40 organizations supporting meaningful money in politics reform, will also speak at the event.

The D.C. Fair Elections Coalition includes U.S. PIRG, DC Working Families, DC for Democracy, Public Citizen, Every Voice, and the DC chapter of the Sierra Club.

WHERE: The press conference will be held in conference room 120 at the historic Wilson Building, home to the Executive Office of the Mayor and the D.C. Council, located at 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
