Rep. Quigley introduces legislation to ban single-use plastics from national parks

On Friday, Rep. Mike Quigley introduced a bill into the House of Representatives that aims to ban single-use plastic serviceware from national parks in the United States. The bill -- known as the Reducing Waste in National Parks Act --  specifically targets plastic bottles, utensils, straws and packaging.

New York City Council requires all school buses to be electric by 2035

The New York City Council passed a bill Thursday evening mandating that the city’s school bus fleet be fully electric by 2035. The bill passed with 44 votes in favor and one vote against. Mayor Bill de Blasio is expected to sign the bill into law.
